Hi all

Good news.
Clutch has been installed.
I was really mad when I saw what was going on on the inside.
The previous mechanic never replaced the pressure plate.
Gearbox seals was never replaced.
Crank seal was also not replaced.
Too much grease was smeared on the main shaft and it splattered onto the clutchplate which made it chatter.
All seals was replaced and I also drained diff and gearbox oil.
Oh and the flywheel was cut like the nevada mountains.
This was also redone.
This time I supervised everything.
My question now is the following:

The clutchcable we setup according to the manual on this site.
at gearbox 4-5mm play and at the pedal 11-15mm play.
When I press the clutch pedal it stops about 2cm from the floor.
Can I just change the play in the clutch cable so that it touches the floor when pressed?
I feel something will get damaged if someone else drives the car and does not know about this and tries to press it hard to the floor.
Thanks

Yeah, back it off till it touches the floor if you like. Or dont let anyone else drive your car . Or both!
