Tell me Nissan wouldnt have a sales record re- releasing this model looking this way?

I reckon it would sell like hot cakes with a HR16DE, upgraded brakes and factory integrated roll-cage.

Not a chance. Although simular in construction the 'Cooper" uses a gearbox setup that is almost part of the engine.

this version made a gearbox that is a work of art compared to the noisy mini version.

Also this engine is the perfection and evolved version of the pommie a series version by Nissan.
