Okay, the ship is set to arrive just before Christmas with the stainless steel sheet (I live on a friggen island and have to ship specialist items in) once I have the landed cost of the steel I'll get some prices up for the Stainless Sheet type, I suspect they will be more popular than the galv sheet. Yes the prices will be higher because the 316 SS costs more.

Hang in there gents, I won't let you down!

The stainless steel is here and I am making a start on the Ute weathershields first. Not sure I have the time to PM individually so please keep an eye on this thread for picture updates.

I will, however, have some PMs for payment sent out later tonight, please note there is a price difference because the stainless is more exy. I will distribute in accordance with whomever pays first.

Cheers

Wouldn't a 304 still be good for ya. 316 is for by the sea side. Although I suppose better is best.

Yeah 304 is okay....but 316 is best! I live by the beach so I'm cool with it.

Hello Everyone,

I chose a thicker material and it is harder to work with, but more robust.

I shall endeavour to send PM's out tonight with payment details and prices. Sorry about the delay but I am absolutely under the pump at work with projects going on all over the place (both work and datsun related ).

Some juicy pictures to show the product. Don't forget that these are a hand made item and not a pressed unit like the factory type.

There's different types of 316, not all are chloride (sea salt) resistant. Even the 304 should be fine if you keep it clean and have some polish or some kind of barrier on it. The guys in the paint shop recommended fireglaze years ago. From memory the chloride resistant 316 has less carbon in it.

They look good! Nice work.
