Ok. now before you all say "read the tech section" ill tell u ive read it numerous times!!
my question is, whats the easiest LSD to fit into a 1978 B120 with a H165 already in it?

i'm not to worried about tailshafts matching up at the moment because i will get one made to suit when i get the A15 in and a celica 3T box with dellow conversion bell housing.

id just like for anyone out there running a 3T gearbox to shed some light on what diff (preferably LSD) they have in.

Ths might be obvious, but a Nismo H165 LSD is a bolt in , very easy.

A member called TOPGEAR here was maling them a while back, I'm sure they'll set you back a bit but will be cheaped than ordering one from nissan. Better jump on the wagon quick before he finalises his orders if he hasn't already.

Heres the thread regarding them.

Hope this helps

Henry

i've been thinking that a virtual LSD could be done on datsuns with rear disks. It's like ABS, you watch the speed of each wheel and use modulation of the LR and RR brakes to control the wheel spin. Lots of new cars use this and I was thinking that i was a bad system but getting and maintaining a LSD is worse. This LSD also is controlled with a knob from open to maximum traction.

obviously you'd need rear disk brakes first.

maybe someday i'll get around to actually making it work.

Maybe , but they are still pretty easy to pick up, if not pretty cheap.

I would have never thought a traction control system would use brakes though, i thought it was just a lsd that was more sophisticated and just reduced power to a wheel if it started to spin.
