Hey i got a boost leak somewhere between the carby and the turbine and im having troubles trying to find it so after looking 1000 times i think i will start replacing pipes and gasgets 1 by 1 till i do find it unless some one knows any tricks to finding the elusive leak.

Snoop is the stuff used by the pro's.
It's just soapy water.

Some household detergent will do.
Just make sure it's real soapy so if you have a fast leak it won't break the bubble.

Pour / paint on & wait for the bubbles to form.

what about those mechanics listening things, basiclly a tube like a stethoscope but for listening for vacuum leaks and knocks.

I have a question for you - Its blowthrough and there is a leak between the turbine ( i am guessing you might mean compressor) and the carbie. If you cant find it, how have you come to this conclusion? The engine will still be running fine and you will only notice reduced boost if its a fair size leak.

Having said all that, the easiest way to find the boost leak, is to make it a vacuum leak by restricting the airflow into the compressors inlet.
Grab a mate and one of you cover the compressor inlet with your fingers (not palm) and increase the engines revs.
At the same time you need to do the soapy water trick (with what ever liquid - carb cleaner, aerostart etc)
Good sealling pipes will see the rubber ones suck in, small leaks will be harder to find.

I would go through all hose clamps. A to loosely set bov (adjustable one) will leak plenty of boost.

yeah if you're loosing boost before it goes into the carb, then it' won't run bad you'll just have less boost, the usual way of finding boost leaks is that unique noise they make.

Yeah the car runs fine but the whisting noise that the leak makes is dredfull.

And yeah I did mean the leak is between the compressor and the carby not what nonsence I said befor. whoops.

But my problem is that i cant produce boost by just free reving and i cant really get someone to sit in my engine bay whilst i drive I need a dyno or something so I can look at the engine whilst under load. Or can you do the soapy water trick go for a drive and pull over and look for bubbles (doubtfull I think)...

Thanks for the assistance so far.

since you've checked the part between the compressor and the carb, have you checked for exhaust leaks, those can whistle too and make the car sound like a tractor with even a tiny leak.
