Not too keen on the wood or carpet as it looks as though you're trying to cover up.

My floor is dented, but not that bad - Hence wanting a 'thick' type of coating.

Anyone used the stoneguard??

If you can do it yourself, get some Emer-Clad. If the surface is prepaired right, it will be as good as the liner stuff. It is an industrial waterproofer. That website shows heaps of info about it. I have used it plenty of times on customers cars and I know of many panel shops tha use it also. Use a stone guard gun and thats what it will look like. Its clean up with water but resistant to water and chemicals when dry. It comes in many colours and can be painted over with 2 pack paints etc

Checked it out.......

$80 for a 4 litre tin.
Beats the hell out of $500 for Rhino Liner.

Thanks Steve..... Love your work

I am a waterproofer by trade, and emerclad is great for utes. My dad (boss) coats the back of his work utes with it and then when its time to sell them we just give it a good scrub with heavy grade detergent.

And just think of the possibilities...
if you seal it up good and proper, you could have a portable spa.

I Had the same problem, So i got a peice of plywood and cut it to the exact shape of the tray and put marine carpet on it. It came up a million bucks, whats also great is you can just lift it out when you want to put a dirty or heavy load in.
Heres a few pics:

As you can also see in the pic my tray is only in primer from when i panted my hardcover, but i plan to paint it with a product called "pannelfleck" its a ute lining paint. ill post some pics when its done (maybe after christmas at this rate.......)
Hope this has been some assistance.
