Sorry but I dont have any pics yet as I am still trying to find a R31 fuel tank up here. But going on what Kev Rowley told me its a rather easie fit, Fabricate the necessary brackets, attach them to the rails up where the spare wheel hanger use to be, then secure the tank into place. Kev also sells the extended fuel filler neck so you can fill from the origional point. If you are really keen he can do rigid fuel lines as well.

Yeah, they fit in up where the spare wheel goes. you take the brackets off and plate the cross bar then put two lenghts of steel the same distance as the r31 apart and use the r31 straps ect to mount it.

I have had a go too.

When I do the next one, I will use 25x25 angle and weld it straight on.

It is pretty easy to do. Just sit it in place and mark it up. Remember to leave room for your exhaust. The second last xmember under the tray will need "relieveing" to get the tank up nice and high.

25 x 50 RHS is the go......
The tank mounting holes aren't in a straight line.
Using 25 x 50 (with 50mm side horizontal) allows for the difference in mounting holes + sits just nicely on the lip of the tank.

Then you just weld to your tray cross-members.
You'll need to get a bit creative where dip in one of the x-members is scalloped out to allow for the exhaust, but nothing too technical.
