ok im back !!!! very happy with the out come of this mornings work,
as promiced ive managed to assemble the grill to a finish state all ready to go,
and i have to say it looks alot better than i thought ,very happy with it,

so to finish this off i need to finish of the badge ,i polished the badge and cleaned it up ,so looks alot better now,
then i painted the centre to match the grill,i probably wouldnt have done this but the paint was chipped old faded,so what the hell a quick tidy up,
now the masking on the badge was a little fiddly but did the best i could ,heres the pic of painting the badge...............

That is the sweetest looking grill I have ever seen for any type of car, EVER.
It reminds me of the billet aluminium style grills all the rodeo utes etc. are going for lately, except this on has the tubing so it gives it a 3 dimensional appearance.
Mate, this ute will win some trophies for sure when its done.

Hey there Evil, I'm not quite clear on how you polished the grill. Did you polish each tube one by one then assemble or did you assemble and then just work on it all put together? I'm new at any kind of body work so please excuse the dumb questions. Also, I believe you said you used a polisher and did hand work. Is that correct and what steps? Sandpaper first then polishing wheel or......?????

This is going to be my guide for doing my coupe. Thanks for all the posts.
