about time lowndes got a bathurst after switiching to a decent car finally.

but having had to deal with them both at a previous employer, Lowndes, Ingal and perkins were gentlemen (and to an extent Brock) but Skaife and Seaton are tools. Sad to see them loose but karma is a bitch that bites hard.

in all seriousness tho, the better driver won, i think it would've been a better battle had skaife not been knocked out.

Who cares...........?

Is racing still racing when you use yesterday's technology? eg/ Pushrod V8's.

In my view, they went backwards when they went back to the V8's & the lap times prove it.

BRING BACK THE SKYLINES!

i agree with coops here, the only really great thing skaife did was call the crowd a pack of b@st@rds when he won in the skyline.....

lap times prove it as does the slow evolution of the cars they are supposed to resemble.

They do great for what they are though.

Im a Holden fan, but It was great to see lowndes win it. I suppose he did it for Brock, a great friend and mentor. Pitty Murph didnt get up but deep down i'm glad lowndes took the Peter Brock trophy. It just seems fitting!!

120fly, I think while your'e thanking people thank the race director Tim Schenken for deploying the safety car for Jason Richards lose into the chase sandtrap to allow the Toll car to make up 8 seconds and then not send out the safety car 2 laps from the end which would have had the race finish under yellows and not given the Toll car a chance to pass Lowndes for the win!!!!. The loss of Mark Porter is extremely sad too....he was a top guy always approachable and earnt his place at the top level of motorsport. His triple rotor RX7 was a weapon and one of my all time favorite cars and he took it to Japan and beat the best there in his Kiwi built car. Paul Radisich was also very lucky this weekend not to get killed in a very scarey accident. I though it was a great race , plenty of drama and excitment and I just wish I had been there for it.
