Thanks a million Benny!

Is this jet calculator a commercially available item?
Do you have a link to the company that produces it?

Or is it an in-house race secret

Yes it is copyrighted. I received a copy back in 1998. It is a great tool for baseline jetting for twin side draught carbs on a 4 cylinder engine. Basically from what I can gather it outputs data in much the same way as reading off the weber jetting tables and graphs in the Weber tuning text books.
I dont think it is published on the web anymore.

It also references jet sizings for dellortos. If someone has a table of jets for solex, then I guess it would be possible crossreference the jet size and work out the solex jet part numbers.

Like I said its a baseline. calculated by engine CC's, RPM of operation and tuned for power or flexibity.

The dyno will be the best place to fine tune.
cheers
Benny

Good news, just found that the Jetting program Benny and I have been using is hidden away on a website, but still able to be downloaded.

Here's the link

alright .... it's an old thread but i said i'd update it with some results .....

A12 - 1204cc, all balanced.
9.8:1 static compression
gx head, all new bits
66/30 cam
electronic ignition, graphed to suit cam
4-1 hitech extractors to 2.5" collector, 2.5" mandrel bends with single 2.5" baffled muffler before the diff.
revs to 8500rpm no worries.
max power around 5500rpm without being to bogged down in low revs.
running twin 40s at the moment with 30mm chokes.

just got car on the dyno this arvo for a quick tune ....
running great thru the whole range with co2 less than 3% across the rev range, the dyno it's tuned on is probably older than some members on this site and the mech wont really give any clear figures/numbers, but i should have something by the end of the month off another dyno, dynodynamics i think ???
anyway carb settings for the motor spec above ....

40mm DCOE webers x 2
chokes : 30mm
Aux venturies : 3.5
Emulsion tubes : f11
Main jets : 125
Air correctors : 175
idle pumps : 35
pump Valve : blank
pump rod : 54mm stroke
idle jets : 45F9
