40kmph seems realistic, the ute probably had taiwanese panels seriously, that sucks for whoever put in the time and effort into what must have been a very neat ute

it bent the bed all the way to the cab, and crushed the passenger compartment, i say maybe only 80km/h if it was a big big van. something with more than 2 axles perhaps. it also smashed up another car too. that subaru looks like it was hit real hard too.

I think the Mazda van that is circled could be the culprit, 'cause it looks a bit dinged up in the front

if that van did it, it's made of depleted uranium. I don't think that's the van. looks like it's got all it's glass, and i don't think it would just have front end damage from doing that, something obliterated 2 cars.
A full size car going 60 mph or so would do the damage seen to the subaru back there. So after demolishing the ute, it still had that much energy.
i think we don't see the van be cause there's probably a big bloody mess.

I think it went off to the right somewhere, it hit the ute, then started to deflect back towards the road.
interesting no tire marks visible.
and what direction should cars on that side of the road be facing, the ute and subaru are back to back, was one parked facing the wrong way or something?
also the ute has damage on the other side in the back.
ok i see what happened...
ute was facing the right way, was hit in the rear corner, seems to have then hit the tree and smashed in the passenger side, then something hit the subaru. you can see some tire marks from the subaru, i think it was lifted off it's rear wheels a bit and rolled on the front wheels. The van probably hit the subaru unless it was parked before the tree, because the ute couldn't have hit the subaru after the tree.
the ute is not where it came to rest, you can see the tree there is missing bark in that way they do when a car hits one.
that guy walking behind the subaru is headed to the van, you notice all the rescue squad people are interested in something over there, not much interest ing the 2 parked cars.
wow this is a good one, this is a game we play in CA is try to figure out how the driver ended up where he ended up... I can say the vehicle was going 2-3X or more the speed limit on that street. That damage is impossible without a tank at speeds under 60mph.
I had to make a drawing to figure it out. The van may have hit a power pole too, depending on where it ended up...
was the ute pulled back from the tree or did it bounce and do a 180 when it was hit?
this drawing is getting complicated.
