I was sitting here thinking about the three cars that I own and thought I would share my thoughts: 89 Toyota Cressida. Ownedr for over 10yrs, bought when I still had kids at home as family transport. Very comfortable to drive with reasonable handling and performance from the 3L 24V 6cyl engine. Great car but suffering in recent years from blown head gasket and overheating, typical problems from aging 7MGE engines. 05 Subaru WRX. This is my second WRX (2 yrs each on company lease). Explosive performance once you get the turbo wound up, brilliant handling and brakes. I love going for blasts on winding country roads in this car. Even though the performance is there if you want it, it is docile enough for my wife to trickle around in traffic. Shortly to be replaced by a new Golf GTI with the trick DSG gearbox. Hope it is as much fun. 73 Datsun 1200. Lightly modified (120Y disk brake struts, 13" mags with 185/65 rubber, sports exhaust, 120Y top hung accelerator pedal, 12" steering wheel, stiffer shocks, Mazda front seats, Skyline door pockets). I take this car to work a couple of days each week and it is a fun car to drive, very nimble in traffic, handles like a gokart with the light weight, small steering wheel and stiff suspension. Heel and toe gear changes are magic with the light clutch and top hung pedal, better than any other manual car I have owned. I looks a bit tatty at the moment with some body damage still being repaired but I cannot bear to part with it. If only it had 10 times the HP!!! Long post but I hope not boring. Barry
