I'm with Lags. If the tune has plenty of fuel and not too much advance this will give the motor the best chance of surviving. The water injection would be a big help too.

finn is running standard internals too! just copper spray on the head gasket with 29 psi. i would imagine a t3 would be quite laggy as my t25 is on full boost at 3000rpm and makes peak power at 6000.. having said that i am considering going bigger.

One day I plan on finding one of these in need of some TLC & restoring w/ a SR20DET.
Have to be a crappy one though, I wouldn't dream of doing that to a good condition Original < (That should keep the purists happy).

One day............

I Hope these pics work .The old girl is pretty much N/A upto about 3000 which isnt a bad thing for economy, and the tourque of the 1500 isnt lost off boost. after 3000 she starts spooling up and by 3500 shes on boost at 4000 shes on full boost and dosnt run out until well after 7000( I never rev her out much past 6000)But once shes on boost there is no boost loss on gear change(full boost from 2500)Open in new window

This is my high tech water/methanol setup The wind screen washer pump switches on at 5psi and pressurises the system recirculating to the wind screen washer pump. At 18psi an in-line solinoid opens and the water/methanol is injected between the air filter and carby. Im using Hobbs (brand) switches to trigger the pump and solinoid ($50.00 each but you can adjust them from .5psi upto 30+) I have used a washing machine pressure switch before but this had very little adjustment and was quite bulky (I put it in my pigma porkion turbo with a similar water/met setup and it works just fine.Open in new window

It's not an SU, it looks like a Stromberg CD [Constant Depression] carb.
