Hi guys, I have aquired an a14 complete engine, and have plans to fit a turbo. I'm going to use a suck-through system from most likely a single webber. I am aiming for a range between 5-18psi. In terms of engine internals - I am wondering what sompression to run. I don't want detination problems, and also want reliability! Does anyone have an indication of what compression to run? The engine will eventually be fitted to a 1200 datto ute - and I'm aiming for high 12's down the quarter. Also - are does anyone know of turbo maniolds available for this application.

Thanks

mate, see the search button on the left of the screen, use it.
i mean no offence, but it gets really tiresome when noobs with 3 posts under their belt ask the same q's over and over.
it will be alot quicker for you to just do a simple search or read the tech section.
there is a stack of info on what you want here, just look for it.

Ok pepper point taken but if people don't ask these questions then

a) How will they find out? and
b) what else would people have to talk about on the forum?

Besides why does it get your goat. You don't HAVE to reply to them.

a) search function

it doesent get my goat as such, it would be alot quicker for the person to search about rather than wait around for a reply they may not get.
new members are highly encouraged, and so are questions, but alot of em register, ask something that has been covered a gazillion times then never log back on again.

Possibly in the back of a ute...... but they are only 1/2 ton capacity so possibly a commodore 1 tonner would be better.

You will have to get the turbo manifold fabricated at an exhaust shop.

read this great draw through turbo.

Pepper - In case you didn't realise this was a forum. A place for people to ask questions and find information. I'm sorry, but I don't remember holding a gun to your head and asking you to answer my query. You CHOSE to, and as such it seems your the Noob offering no assistance what-so-ever. Yes I realise a may only have a few posts, but people have to join sometime! Why don't you just indicate to me when I have sufficient posts to answer a question then? Sorry if I thought I could use this FORUM as an opportunity to tap into the knowledge and experience of fellow car enthusiasts. Next time I'll remember to ask for your permission. Here's a tip, If you don't like a post - don't answer it! Then it shoulcn't bother you. Thankyou very much to those who offered assistance - Very much appreciated.
