what about swapping diffrent brakes onto the axles, e.g. bluey disc overs, or would that be hard as the axle size for a bluey is smaller

The wheel studs are in the axle, so using different brakes won't make it 4-stud. Why not just use six-hole steel wheels?

May b for 114.3pcd 4 studs it would prob b cheaper to go for modified live axles from a L engined car if the length arent too different or you could run fwd 114.3pcd wheels on the rear if you didnt want to shorten it.

gee, thats blindingly obvious about the studs now

it just occured to me that i could use axles from a vanette as it is h-190 aswel, but id have to have em shortened

the diff doesnt need shortening D

im not carrying two spares, i need the same stud patternl

michael, the c20 vanette axles have smaller splines than the 520 axles.seriously,it's not that hard to get the six stud axles & drums redrilled to 4 stud.much cheaper than shortening & resplining axles.plus you'd also have 4 spare studs(i say, that was a joke, boy).

Im sure the 1200 ute diff splines are different and weaker.
Also is the h190 a similar length drum to drum just b careful they may vary vehicle to vehicle Ive tried to buy and old 67 bluebird with the j15 engine and with the alloy h190 as a wreck and the width seems to be the same as my 1000 but now have gone the alfa way due to the strength and lsd.

is 1000 same as 1200 or smaller,

my bro in law reckons theyll fit, cause we know for sure the centres are interchangable, as long as the width IS the same

Yeah they are but the 1000 has the alloy carrier and although not strong it makes me wonder why they put it in such an economy car. Can you get a Bluebird 410 diff?? the only prob is that some are imperial which I wouldnt know how that would affect things if the pattern is the same.
