this was the caption on that image of the struts.

"Ground Controll coilover kit installed on 210 (US) 310 (OZ) struts. Struts have been cut down 2.125" to take standard Z car inserts. First inserts are KYB GR2 and the springs are 250#/inch".

Are 310 strut larger in inside dia to the b110?

Also is Gary P around to explain more ???

Cheers

Would it not be cheaper for you to buy some of the Australian Fulcrum coilover sleeves and have them posted over to you?

I am thinking about coil over suspension for my sedan. I hope to get great ideas in here. I was told this is a good place for Datsuns. I am planing to make my own camber plates , if posible.

I was reading the technical pages/files. Interesting.

ok I have the ground control kit and I am using tokico illumnia inserts made for toyota Mr2 rear in the past. now I am using ones for early rx7. both shocks use the same housing just valved differently rx7 being softer. My 1200 ride height is 3.25 inchs with 7" 250lb springs in frt. for a street car I would rec 8" 200lb springs or even 175lb springs you will also need bump steer spacers between strut and ball joint.

Good question, I'm curious myself now that you mention it.

Well Bob beat me to it , I was going to mention I'm using Tokico.
As for the spring rate, find out what the stock 240Z spring rate is. I know that spring rate works very well on a 1200 with street tires. (Remember the 240Z spring will fit on a 1200 strut)

I did a crude measurment many years ago and came up with 90#/inch for 1200 springs and 110#/inch for B310 springs.
