As much as I hate posting a non 1/4 time reply in this thread I think dat383 definitely deserves a round of applause for persisting and getting that Datsun into the 9s!

yeah,it was good to run a nine.
just gave it a bit of a tune and it made a big difference.
stay tuned,more to come.just waiting for a good track and colder air.then bigger jets,more timing,more aggressive on the line and maybe something faster.

i will be at the tin tops on the 28th of april next,
and i will be stepping it up.

Hi 1200 freaks out there,

Believe it! With our new way-more-powerful battery pack, it's going to run 11s soon. On an aborted pass two Sundays ago where we coasted the last 1/3 of the 1/4 mile down from 105 mph or so to just 94 mph as we crossed the finish line, the car still posted a 12.2 ET!
The 1/8 mile on that run was 7.51 @ 89 mph, on par with an 11.6 second 1/4 mile run.

Why bother? How 'bout a massive 772 ft. lbs. torque from 0-5000 rpm? How 'bout 0-60 in close to 3 seconds flat? How 'bout Zero emissions (charges off clean hydro power)? How 'bout Independance from foreign oil? How 'bout Pioneering a new performance standard...how often do you get to do that?

Oh, and as to the no sound bit, after hearing the sophisticated whine of a 300 hp electric motor churning against boiling tires, trust me, exploding dyno juice sounds...well...primitive! You can check out the sound if you like, on the second 'burnout scene' video at my web page's 'Videos' section.

I just arrived home from Willowbank. I reset my best time several times tonight so I'm quite happy with how the old girl went. I did three 12.9 second passes at 108mph and then a 12.7 at 109mph on my last run. I also did a 110mph pass earlier in the day too but the time was poor due to a bogged launch.

I filmed my runs and I always film my track days too.
I doubt you'd find them very interesting to be honest mate. In car videos are pretty boring unless you are racing someone around a race track imho.
