Ang,

Can you give me the thickness of the flange at the bottom?

Since i feel like being nice. A word of advice. The one piece exhaust flange (as pictured below) will aide in future manifold fit up. Just check out joys of a old holden straight 6 if you feel the need to seperate the flange.
But my main reason for this post. - the arrows drawn below. Make note of the shape under the exhaust port for cylinder 4. Failure to add this shape to the flange will make the manifold unable to fit smallblock A series unless its to be cut.

Yep and that's precisely the reason for my concern about clearing the block - that area imparticular.

I have an A10, old school A12, A14 and an A15 block to test against, not to mention CNC milling and laser cutting abilities at work to test my designs against (laser cutting stops at acrylic and thin fibreglass - no metal unfortunately).

Hopefully I will get to cut a one piece test tomorrow on a piece of acrylic.

PS - If anyone wants to test one on their head, let me know - I'll mail you one! (not too many though )

Sorry mine is all fitted up at the moment, but that back section was only tight for me when i had 3.5mm shaved off the head and then it only took a small amount of grinding to fix. but i had no problems with the inlet manifold. The bottom brace helps in keeping the exhaust outlet aligned.
