Hey people my name is joe and i am new to the club i have just bought a 1975 datsun 120y and am in the process of rwc and have come across a problem with the front parkers/headlights to the point that i pull the headlight swich to parkers and the low beam comes on aswell unless the swich on the steering colum is swiched to high beam then it is just the parkers. i have however replaced the headlight swich twice any help would be great thankyou all and good job on the forum...

There is NOTHING wrong with your headlight switch. ALL right drive Datsun 1200 & 120Y's were made like that.
If you can find an owners manual, it will describe the operation.

EDIT
There you go, you can read mine. Don't bother reading the center column as it deals with left drive models.

Its easy enough to unsolder the wires on top of the switch to fix it like normal. Ive done it many times at the request of customers and my own 1200s
