Im not 100% sure on the finer details but a mate has just done the CA conversion to his 1200 coop. Running a CA18T with CA20 Gear Box and his radiator is from a 5L Holden VN/VP all runs smooth and the radiator kicks butt.

Hope this helps.

I can really only answer the diff question but no, your original will not be enough. Try a skyline r30 diff or hilux diff cut down. Depends where you are as to where you can go to get it done. Should be able to find somewhere who will cut it down and fit it for you. Won't be cheap though. i suggest the hilux rear diff then no matter what you throw at it, that thing will keep on keepin on. Bit more work but freaking strong.

rb30 stumpy box will do. Check the wiki for more details on fitting.

I believe wiring can be purchased, but someone on here with more knowledge will let you know the ins and outs of a ducks arsehole in relation to wiring and fuel lines.

run a search on here mate this has all been covered before and if you still have any problems just ask. expect to pay around $800 for the diff but you may be able to get it cheaper. any reason you want to go with the smaller boxes other than the fact that that u dont need to recut anything. its pretty easy to make a suitable hole about 100mm back and fit the s13 box in. fuel pump and lines will depend on ur budget and what sort of power you want to run. i personally have gone for the over kill system with a lift pump into a surge tank and a bosche 044 feed pump all in 3/8 fuel lines.

Is the r30 diff not IRS? I would choose the r31 over hilux simply because they have the same ratio and are easy to find. Hilux diffs are usually geared quite low arent they?

Also the rb30 used a long box, same as ca18det box but single synchro, I believe the stumpy box you want is from L24 r30 skylines, then you have to put a ca20/ca18? bellhousing on.

the radiator is simple you just cut out the section that sticks in that the old a series one bolts too and then use a silvia rad or as previously mentioned a commonwhore one not sure how they fit because i went the silvia route.

sorry r31 diff. my bad. And yeah the hiliux diffs are geared quite low as standard but i have heard are stronger than r31. Also there are heaps of different ratios to be found for hilux diffs including lsd.

R31 will no doubt do the job quite well but i think for extra strength you can't beat the hilux diff. Just my opinion though.

hilux diffs are a bit stronger because of the 30 spline bigger axels. you can get them in just about any ratio and the lsd centres go for about $200 to $300 on ebay but they are very heavy and also have drum brakes as standard.
