Just looking back through the log 1/4 mile log, your 92 mph suggests that you have about 110-112 rwhp, so not bad considering that you are running a couple of pounds less boost.

Dyno's are all good, but the drag strip never lies.

the 1500 don't rev. maybe 5500rpm tops. just a guess
Probably not a good idea to tell a few of the A series racers that. I know one that revs his A15 out to about 8,000 almost every time he changes gear.

5,500 is probably right for a stocker.

Mine happily swings to 7600 every time
However I think I could do with 10 psi of boost too

My engine makes 100hp atw
Allow some drivetrain loss lets say it has 130 flywheel
Add 10psi boost that makes for 210 flywheel

I could go abit of that !!

What formula are you using to extrapolate this?

I also have a lumpy cam. So I't good to know that I haven't sacrificed my idle quality for nothing.
Much like yourself, my drag racing/tuning is still in it's infancy.

Actually, I've known folk who show standard crank rods etc who rev to 8000 habitually.

thats impressive for a 1500! they just dont seem to want to rev. am building a highly modded and strengthened turbo 1500. let you know what it makes peak power at.

Might need to get your assistance on that one. The ute has just dropped compression on a cylinder. -head gasket almost blown between 3 and 4, but I think the problem is ring lands

10psi = too much without decomp & fuel injection.

I spose I always new it was, but got into the "she'll be right" mentality.
