not that hard to remove the tub floor....and really easy when you dont want the chassis rails

but when i did my ute i just used an air chizel to rip through all the spot welds that hold the floor to the chassis rails
a neater way to do it would be to grind most of the way through where the spot welds are then just pop them off
would make it easier if you cut the big flat sections out first with a 9 inch, then you can see where chassis rails and stuff are easier

heres a pic from the early stages of irs conversion....can see all the bare chassis rails

you want to copy the url in the properties of the pic
but why would you want to cut the floor out...looks ok
with the tubs you would just have to cut around them as they most likely wouldnt be spot welded

oh and i didnt really know what i was doing when i cut the floor out, but its not hard to learn... chassis rails dont get cut

I personally would just layer over the top, the flat section leaving the wheel arches and sides alone.

I like the look of the rounded wheel arches and I don't think checker plate would suit such a look,I prefer a box look with checker plate.
