yes very hard to get LSDs for r31s....only almost every falcon or commodore LSD will fit and work (as long as its 28 spline and 3.08-4.11 ratio) falcon ones are apparently the ones to use

id go a 9 inch over a patrol diff, would weigh about the same as patrol diffs are huge, and just coz the 9 inch is a more common conversion.... who cares if its not nissan really

and probably a hilux one over the 9 inch as they would weigh slightly less????

EDIT: wow didnt know patrol diffs were that f'ing big

why would the r31 diff fuk up ?

30kg more is almost another half of the r31 diff....its a lot of weight
and are you saying that a 9 inch will never ever make another noise or vibration.....well i guess if you payed $2500 for a diff that you still had to put in your car, you would want it to live for ever

pigdog wat would u think would last longer
a r31 lsd diff or a 9 inch diff ??
and to buy a r31 diff, shortened and the mounts welded on and the axels shorten and rebuild the diff would cost how much ?? maybe $1800
if it is 30kg thats not that much weigh some people have sterio gear that weighs that much

Theres a blue 1200 ute up here running 10
sec and hitting the back bumper and he only has a skyline diff and is raced all the time.
So unless you plan on a super quick car you dont need any bigger
