the shoulder straps should be kept as short as possible. all this info is in the CAMS manual.

Thats right Harry,it's all in the book and would'nt the scrutineers be happy if everyone found the time to read it.I got asked to help with scrutineering at Maryborough to get everyone thru a bit quicker(i have appropriate accreditation)and some of the stuff i saw was enough to make your eyes water, even some of the most basic stuff was wrong. So i guess the message is to our Aussie members wanting to compete under CAMS reg's READ THE MANUAL.Cheers

OK with the nag part over.....................the mild engine will be fine , get the suspension dialed then worry about the motor last. I've had the near stock GX in mine for waaaaay to long but it's still fun after 17 years.
Good luck mate and great pictures

This is also very good advice for the street where many seem to get it back to front.
Suspension, steering & brake upgrades will enable a car [& driver] to make the most of what they have in the engine bay & some surprising point-to-point performance improvements can be achieved without any power increases at all in many cars.

This is how racing improves the breed

Just a quick note, you should read your Cams Manual regarding 4130. If you have $2500 to get it engineered(by one of the 5 FIA approved engineers in the country), and you will have to add a lot more bars, you are better of telling them that it is CDW or CDS.
