Well I found an axle finally for 70 bucks, still expensive for an axle but its one of those things that had to be done. I also may have found an engineering mob up to actually do the work I need so I will keep you posted

Yeh, I took a chance and it might come back to bite me in the butt

I should get a call from the engineering mob in the next day or so for a price estimate. Keep ya fingers crossed

The news is GOOD. The engineering workshop said they CAN do my axle and for around 75 to 100 bucks. I should even be able to pick it up today YAY

Picked it up this arvo, looks good too. They cut the splines very tight to the side gears so there is almost zero play. Now I just need the housing finished and I can put it all together and whack it in. Oh and the custon tail shaft

I am going away for a few weeks though so no work will get done but everyone needs a break, even the datto.

coops.....did you have any prob's with the rear calipers not hitting the leafs & body once shorten the diff ??....

Question about R31 centres....3.89 is that a good centre
