Welcome to the buncha nuts club, Josh. You seem to be a likely candidate to get into some of our tech debates on here. LOL. This is
a great place.

Where sis you pick up the differential? I'm guessing you're in Australia or
NZ?

Thanks guys, anyhow yes i am from oz, the diff is out of a locally produced ford v8 also used in a lot of gm vehicles. The only reason i went for this is because of the power output
of the SR20t and because the lsd diffs from nismo for 1200's are way too expensive. The diff i have now is cheap, widely available, lsd, strong and comes in a wide variety of ratios.
The housing was shortend along with the axles, the rest is pretty straight forward.
if there are any more questions dont hesitate to ask.
thanks josh(datsr20t)

Josh, i have thought about doing somthing similar to my 1200 but opted for a H190. Its only a open wheeler but i thought the cost would be about the same to make them both strong,
right width and LSD. How much did the axle/housing shortening cost? What about the stud pattern? Hmmm, not sure wether im better off fixing up the H190 with LSD, larger axles, disc
brakes etc or go for somthing similar to u. I just need an idea of costs as i know a worked h190 will cost around 2 grand or so(probably more!!) cya!

I have just found a Mazda RX7 LSD rear. It seems an easy swap and it seems strong enough to handle all I can do with an
A-series engine.

Scotty, i too looked at the h190 diff, the things that turned me off it was the fact that after putting about 220bhp+ through them the crown and pinion do granade in a big way and also
have u tried to get a lsd centre for it, i did with no success and if i did find one it would cost close to $1500 just for the centre. It really depends on how much power u are going to
put through it. My diff modifications have cost me $250 so far but i have done a lot myself. I shortend the housing, re-driilled the stud pattern and made the new mounts the diff cost a
100 bucks i got a new gear set for $160 and the axles cost $250 to shorten and re-spline. The diff is strong cheep and widely available.
You could always just go for the "cig" locker!
thanks
