Gday fellas, I was supposed to be getting info for a uni project from ford, but they dropped me on my head. I am doing waste heat recovery using thermoelectric a generator.

For an injected family sedan I need:
->exhaust gas temp & flow rate
->radiator inlet temp & flow rate

This info for any car is fine 4 now, or any leads on where the info can be found. All the uni journals will give me component temps but not gas temps. I havent looked for coolent temps yet.

Its not the sort of thing that is normally meaured in a normal performance area. I can see the point of trying to get the data! I would be a damn interesting project!
What sort of thermo recovery system are you using, Di-electric?

Yep, bismuth telluride thermocouple, that makes a 8A 1.65V 14W thermoelectric generator. 13 of em, replaces the muffler and the alternator. Works fine, have to prove it does for the write up!!!

Not to matter I am just gunna submit my own measured exhaust temps, not ones from spec sheets.

Pity cause Mazda would be interested in something better than its restricted mufflers for their otherwise noisy hi po rotaries.
I had 5 mufflers on my pp r100.

Hey D. On the later rx7's mazda used a valve in the exhaust so that it opened up a less restrictive exhaust path at high revs but kept quiet at low revs.

No boring red with modded box flares for the 10 inch rears and 8 fronts with escort type boot spoiler. Oh and the rank rotary sticker how could i forget.
