I personally don't see why everyone has such a problem with the price. It's his ute so he has the right to put whatever price tag he wants on it. Sure it's expensive but what's the harm in testing it out.

He obviously knows that he put a price which was too high on it that's why it has dropped $5K on the last time it was on Ebay. Anyone in the market for a 1200 ute should know what they are selling for and therefore know if this is a good buy or not. He's not forcing anyone to buy it.

Na... good on them... parts/cars are worth what someone is willing to pay... just I think he will be waiting a while... a lone while...

If anyone asks my ute is for sale for $50k, maybe someone will buy it... actually I wouldn't sell it for that...

Well I think as people unnecessarily raise the price of the Datsun vehicles/parts they begin to alter the market of the mighty Datsun without actually intending to do so.

Sure as time goes on harder to find parts/vehicles demand a higher sale price. But blatantly raising the price of a Datsun part/car 'just to see' if it'll sell is inconsiderate and uncalled for and unfortunately (in some instances) it triggers a rise all over the board in Datsun items because other people think what they have is just as worthy of being sold as a super-expensive, super-rare part/car.

Of course the guy has a right to sell the car for whatever he wants but if you really care about the Datsun then this guy (and the alike) are going to ensure that the price of Datsuns rise prematurely over time.

EDIT: Thats true mitch, you've got a really neat ute. Very envious....

clyons8, totally agree... though I do agree with some of the other higher priced parts as an alternate option is also high.

But surely if people are buying the parts, cars etc at the high prices they are in fact worth that much as people are willing to fork out the money.

I can see where you are coming from and to an extent I agree, but if this guy has poured all his money into it and spent countless hours on it I wouldn't expect anything but a high price to be put on it.
