Dunno if I'll be there..
the Thou is inductionless...
Single DCOE.. needs tuning, (way too rich, pulls good)
DGAV.. knackered..
Hitachi, no good..
Twin Mikuni's.. hit on the pipes..
The Little 1200 needs something to bring it on song.. lol

throw on the single weber for the run.
And if it is any consolation, if you can get the motor to stay tuned for any perooid of time you are doing better than me. I always knew the carby was, ahhh average, but timing was weird, and it drank fuel, by datsun standards.
But by god did it go!
Please bring the girl along, cause I wanna see that motor going again. Its kinda sad, but I miss it dearly. That idle at about 600 rpm was just fantastic. The sound from the exhaust at full noise was just fantastic, and the indction noise, well its all just a little too orgasmic.... but thats just me.
You know you want to Mike

Dont think we can have a bbq at the ravenswood hotel, but I might ba able to swing a bit of a deal with the owner on food.
If everyone wants a BBQ, we will have to change the final destination, but I kinda like the idea of a hotel. Can have a few beers, shoot the breeze with overinflated stories about rubbish....
I have to call back a bit later to catch the owner to confirm. I might try and organise to have a platter of hot snack/finger food ready to go when we get there.
Any objections? I dont expect it to cost much. About $15 a head plus your beers at the most. Platters of junk food arent expensive.

count me in, prefer not a too long route, and the idea of the sheds crawl is genius.

righto
finally got a hold of the owner of the ravo pub
I estimated that we would have 15-20 people, judging by the last run.
We cannot bring our own food or drinks to the pub, but she was able to provide us with platters.
She quoted $45 a platter and reckoned we would need three. Thats $135 total, divided up by 15 = $9 a head, plus your beers. Not too bad really.
If we still want a BBQ, the dwelly is still on the cards, or Churchman brook dam, which has a really nice bbq area and heaps of parking.
Ill do up the run sheets next week at work (work can pay for em!), and make the final arrangements.

I'm all for the platters - I'd spend more on food for a BBQ & would have to bring an Esky... Frosty beers on tap would be the goods too!
