You could give a larger one a try.

I think the money would be better left in the bank to pay for regular oil changes and fuel filters.
You should have paid for larger turbo, forgies, larger injectors, larger AFM, front mount, larger fuel pump, better shocks, better tires, before considering throttle body changes.

Standard Ca18det is 56mm I had mine machined out with bigger butterfly ect. Save your money it did not make any diference to power or torque at all!!!!!
Unless you are going for 400+hp with 25-30psi keep it stock the Rb20 is slighty bigger as is the SR20 and I think are bolt on modifaction.

I was looking at that Plenum on that URL you gave me the other day Andrew, i am tempted...... hehehe

The throttle body on that one that they have there is 65MM and comes with the kit..... the only thing is that i dont think it will fit under the bonnet of the 1200 and secondly i need to look at the legality of it with IPRA regs ????

Throttle bodies are free in IPRA Marty. No holes allowed in bonnet and it must be shut properly. The only thing that we have to fit that most people don't is the restrictor before the turbo.

Yeah that plenum is really nice but as I say unless your after really exteme power stay with the stock setup as it works good and is cheap.
I have heard of 240rw KW from stock inlet manifold and throtle bodie. There is a 1200 ute in Qld thats basically stock other than forgies and good turbo making 220rwkw!! even running stock exuast manifold.
To be honest in a race car that weighs not much you will find 170-190rwkw a handfull. For circuit I normally wind my boost down and only turn it up for the drags or to show off. There is only so much power you can put through 8" tyres. I would spend the money on a well designed restrictor like the WRC guys run 36mm I think and a certain distance from the turbo wheel with a bellmouth you should not loose much power at all. The One I made up was nothin flash and worked well upto 12psi anymore than that and it would surge a bit.

True...... you have to remember that this is the first turbo engine that i have ever got my hands dirty on...... in the past i have only had V8's and 6's.....

Sorry for not hanging around the other day mate, i had to get up to pick up those struts before 1.30pm and didnt want to be late.

I am still looking around for a standard crossmember and to be honest ahving a little trouble. I might have to wait until i pick the car ip from Bozz's place inthe next few weeks i hope and then i will come for a drive.

How long does ti take you to drive to Sydney ?? so i can plan the round trip day drive, i will see if i can drag Bozz along with me

If a SR20DET throttle body fits so does a RB25DET. This is a bolt on upgrade for the SR. The RB25det is the largest in the nissan family bar the V8's
