Does anyone know where I can buy coupe sill panels from? There seems to be plenty of places that sell 1200 ute sills, but not coupe ones. Can the ute ones be used on the coupe? i.e are they long enough and are they the same shape the entire way though?

If anyone could help out, it would be great.

Cheers.

Leigh

From what I can gather coupe sills are no longer available. The ute sills are shorter by about 100mm. I have just replaced RH sill on my coupe. I got 2 ute sills to make one coupe sill. Other than the length, the ute sills are exactly the same.

Any tips on replacing them? I am going to do it myself, but would like to have a bit of a clue before I start. I gather thes best way is to drill out the spot welds first and go from there?

Cheers.

hey Leigh,
Contact
Craig Vayne
Sheetmetal Fabrication

He's based in martborough I think in QLD the sil costs $35 and it fits coupe or ute pretty much any 1200. It's a long piece that has been fabicated to the right shape, it's long enough to do both sides just cut ti to the right length.

To get out your old sill just grind out where you want to join it up at and use a chisel to undo the spot welds on the seam underneath and take off the door edgeing to get to the top seam and chisel that then just weld in ya new piece and put it all back together.

PS rear 1/4 panels are availible from this guy for $25, it goes from the wheel arch back to the rear of the car and comes up 20cm.

Part numbers are
Sill Outers $35 code: RP168
Rear 1/4 $25 code: RP167

Hope this helps
Cheers
Damo

The coupe has wider doors. The coupe sill is longer from A pillar to B pillar.

Mistakenly thought you were referring to scuff panels, not sill panels.
