i am having heating trouble in my my cadet. it has a brand new 240sx twin core radiator and 10 inch and 8 inch thermos but still getting hot in traffic. so i was thinking about taking the front mount off and putting 2 more thermos in front of the radiator as well...... the motor is basically stock and just been rebuilt except for a 3 inch exhaust and i was wondering how much power i would lose by removing the front mount, and could i still upgrade the turbo without one?????

you shouldnt be having any troubles have u checked your cooling system are u sure it hasno blockages? mine has a thin sprinter core with twin thermos and it doesnt get hot enough....dont blame the front mount doubt it will be causing the problem.

so it sounds like the radiator should be big enough then.... maybe the guy before me removed the thermostst centre and the water is moving through too fast to get cooled. if i start it up cold i should see water flowing straight away yeah???????? instead of when the thermostat should at designated temp?????

the water shouldnt move until the thermotat opens when it reaches temp and lets water flow.

You might just need to bleed the cooling system, having an air lock can cause overheating issues

but if its passing thriugh the radiator too quickly it won't have enought time to cool it sufficiently... maybe??????? thats what i heard.. ie. it will be in and out before it cools.

thermostats are ment to keep the car at a even temp

by the water staying still is will sit in the rad for longer but is will allso stay in the engine longer too

you want flow but running a car with out a thermostat is bad coz a car is ment to run at a preset temp running it colder can be bad

once again treat the cause not the problem :)
