H89 has a smaller combustion chamber, giving a higher compression ratio whereas the H72 head has an open chamber. I'm not sure whether valve sizes are the same??

a14 head on ebay

This one is for sale, and in Melbourne. Let me know if you are going to bid on it, otherwise I'll grab it for myself (or try to). I don't 'need' it but if nobody else wants it a spare would be good. I'm just hoping to avoid bidding against a fellow forum member and putting the price sky high only to eventually pull out of the bidding or something.

Bit pricey i'd have thought.Buy it now at $195 indicates what the reserve is,and you still have to give it a re build.
I'd be viewing it in the flesh and making sure it's not soft or corroded.

That's not a good price at all.

jmac, perhaps you should advertise in the classifieds for an oval port head. That head is pretty pricey.

Iv'e also seen plenty go for more than $200
on ebay, and some not. What ever an
individual wants to pay i suppose.

The bidding starts at only $80 anyway
