I too would have liked a 2 door sedan. I'm a sedan owner at heart, and never really got into liking the coupes.

I'm still waiting for the house prices to drop more so I can afford the 8 car garage I always dreamed of.

Just thought I would let you know that I purchased this car from PickaPart's holding yard about 13 or 14 years ago. I sold it because I am in to Datsun 1000's. Sorry I can't remember how much I bought or sold it for. When I purchased it the car had rust along the left hand front floor near the tunnel but was otherwise very straight and original.

ddgonzal, thanks mate! I would really appreciate that. It's very hard to find any info or parts for 2 door sedans in Oz, so that would be a real help. I believe (from what I've heard) only about 30 2 door sedans were brought to Australia and they were never offered/listed for sale to the public by Datsun dealerships. I'm not sure if anyone really knows but I've heard a handfull of these were ordered by the government for use on a military base as run abouts or something like that. And, apparently, the others went to dealerships as demos or promos and gifts to the managers. It's all a bit of a mystery so if there's anyone out there who knows the story, please share it with us.

ddgonzal, I'd also be very interested in buying a few bits and pieces if you have access to spares and are interested in posting them down under. My mate also has a 2 door sedan which he is after some bits for so let me know if you're keen.

A guy I know in NZ can make new door skins for them. Actually I'll grab a pic of a work in progress, amasing stuff.




Also, my mate has an immaculate 2 door sedan, hasn't been on road for a while, but plates were datsly in nsw if anyone remembers, he bought it off a granny.

if you gt reall desperate pm me i have a local panel beater that can make a new door skin or if you can get a longer door (coupe maybe?) he can cut the skin off and fit it to it
i should have taken some photos of a 1k ute that he had done absolutley amazing the door and door edge just above the sill was pushed in around 3 inches he panel beated and cut and shut and panel beated a bit more ended up making nearly a whole new sill and inside door edge and could barely tell it was smashed in!
