Lets try to fit a 22 inch wheel in that 510 Datsun, I think we can make it.

I had a 510 up until about 3 months ago and I had 16" wheels with 205-40-16's on them.WHAT A NIGHTMARE !! It rode like a buckboard, grabbing every ripple and bump in the road.It was pretty terrible.I now own a 1200 sedan with 13" wheels and 205-60-13's on them.MUCH, MUCH nicer ride and easier to control. For what it's worth.

You must be getting on in years Dusty, don't you know that your car is ment to ride like a dog at the expense of having the "lowest ride"or the "Phat rims Dude"

I recently went from 65-series to 60-series tires on my Mustang -- it made a big difference:

- handles better, better turn in
- rides a little rougher

I would say it is definitely worth it. But 40-series. Yikes, would be too rough for me ... it's always a tradeoff. The 1200 rides rough to start with, but 175/60-13 my 1200 cornered very nicely.

Man... and I thought 17's looked cartoon-ish...

Too much. 16's are really the limit. It looks okay, but how come it never came off the trailer?

Funny, the owner (pictured) actually does some pretty good cartoonish 510 artwork.

Every year, somebody trailers an unfinished project car. Notice more pics of this car than any other 510 on every site that has Shasta 2003 pics. It was a real crowd pleazer, especially with the runts.

Call me a rice-boy, but I do like that carbon fiber hood.

I have a few of his Shasta shirts, too. He does great work.
