I have mine mounted in the dash....

The old AM head unit has been removed, and the hole re-cut to fit the new head deck.

sorry datman i couldnt log on the other nite (for sum reason) yeh well a12s were pretty common in off road buggies and they used to bike carbs on them due to an a12 as u know 1200 well 1100cc bike=more power then an a12 and roughly same capacity so their pretty much a perfectly suited thing only problem is it hard to make a manifold as the bike carbs dont have a flange or or anything( on most) the same on the inlet side of the carbies, most off roaders made a plate the same size as ports in head welded on 4 pipes slipped radiator hose over pipes clamped them up then the same at the carbies, just with a brace down to the block, made ram tubes and put unifilters on... another great thing is you can alter the length of the hose(within reason)to gain bottom end response or top end without buying new/making new manifolds...on my set up i did that with silicone intercooler/turbo type hoses/joiners with bolt up hose clamps...looks neater and is better than radiator hose

thanks datman

i spent some time today and got the head deck sitting good where the ciggarete packet holder and the datsun symbol used to be
i had to make up a plate and do some hefty bashing at it with the hammer to get the right shape
but the end result i think is good

ill post some pictures tomoro
now all i have to do is put something where the old AM/FM used to be

cheers
Jason
