As for racetech laptop, that's really strange, if your laptop works at work and not at home, then your ISP or the router you use to access it is filtering something wrongly, probably the cookies. But I've never herd of an ISP or router that filtered http cookies, so it's hard for me to help you. But I can try, after a failed login do you get any cookie called xoops_session? You can check this on firefox, View > Preferences > Privacy > Show cookies.

This is a hard bug to nail because I can't replicate it.

The xoops_session stored in the database with the content of your screen shot does not have your userid, it's equal to an anonymous user browsing the site, so nothing new here
I think your browser failed to sent the proper cookie. Do you have any login issue in any other internet site from your home link?

No, this is the first website I have this problems with.

Personally I do not have a idea of what could be the cause.

Would creating a new userid and testing with it be worth it?

When you use your cellphone to log into your favourite site. Guys i still cant log in from either home or work. I have tried everything suggested but none of it works. Any suggestions.

If you are using Firefox, then try using IE -- or vice versa.

The old standby still holds-- if you have Norton, uninstall it. If it now starts working, good. If problem continues, reintall Norton.

Remember there are many causes for browser problems. So what fixes it for another guy, you may be running into a different cause.

Any luck testing with the new user?
