Oi, been looking at this group for a while, and have really start reading them this semester of UNI

I know that a few of you guys are from Townsville. I know B120dat is. I've seen your ute. SWEET.

IT HAS DUAL WEBERS!! Drool. That's enough

Well just like to know who else is from Townsville/NQ and do you get together for a drive?

Well I own a ..... ummm. Well you can work that out.
Though I'd love a 1200 ute for rally. If anyone's got a shell that needs a home, well I your man.

later

Allan

Im another Townsvillian, I have/had a Blue 1200 ute on the road for a week, but had a cooling problem and I think the head is warped...long story to that. Dont know when its getting back on the road due to my full time work and part time uni. Look for me in my other two cars(transitional phase at the moment, got to sell one), red laser TX3 turbo and my new one, white Evo 3 :).

Yes I drive a white 2 dr corolla, KE55S and am a proud Toyota owner. I'd upload a photo, but I don't know where to put it and I might just get lynched :o

I plan to rally the corolla, unless of course a 1200 ute comes into my posession.
Mmmm don't suppose your selling your 32/36 weber you had on your engine?? Or have you already gotten rid of it??

charlie835egg, now this would be interesting: after you get your ute fixed up and drive it for a while, your thoughts on how the Datsun 1200 compares to the Corolla 1200.

Oh yes, rather than post a Toyota pic in our Photo Album, you can link to one in this discussion (use the IMG button and enter the URL of a picture from you own site). Make it a smaller picture (640x480 or less) so it doesn't slow down us dial-up people too much.

Just thought Id mentioned a up coming drag meet at Townsville drag strip, its supposed to be a 4,6 and rotaries meet with a stupid title relating to that movie about cars(one guess ;) ).

Its on the 27/9, but if theres no support it might be a burnout night(no appeal there for me). Should be a good night with some good cars :). I should be there in the white 3 so come over and say hi!!

I've never put my car down the 1/4 mile. I'd be interested though. Heard it cost something like $30 right?? Is this at the end of lecture recess??

To do this first I'll need a 1/2 decent carby. Don't suppose anyone's got a spare hitachi of a 200B/Bluebird/Corona laying around?? If so, contact me I'll be at the drags in all my poorly tuned glory.

Normally its 20 dollars, but since its got price money it might be more. Apparently you dial in a time and you have to get as close as possible, you will be having a few practise runs first though, which I will need as I wont have taken my car down the strip yet.

Edit: its $25 dollars. Normally its less than that but its a featured event so its a little bit more.

Oh yeah Bannana BASH is great fun. Don't suppose anyone else here in Scouting also??

I'll tell the rest what Bananna Bash is when I have a bit of time to explain and psot a pic or two of our dismal cars/bombs.
