hi

im currently running an auto in my 120y and its running a pretty large brake booster
now i have done my homework on everything but just wanted to know whats what when it comes to the pedal box

do the pedal box's alternate at all when it comes to no brake booster and brake booster.. also is the mounting any diferent when it comes to swapping the two over

i think the pedal box is the same but the brake pedal might b diff with booster and no booster

nah, they are the same set up as those with a booster have the same push rod end as those with out a booster ... looks like you have a PBR corolla ke55 brake booster and master?

pedal box is different, mounting for the booster is different to mounting of the master cylinder obviously. apart from that they are the same

you can modifly a non boosted one to suit a booster, but its a bit harder to make a boosted one non boosted

I dont really know what the booster is from
so booster and non booster is a diferent rod,? But i can make it into a booster setup using the box i already have?

Have a look under the dash where the booster comes through, if it has been modified it will be obvious. Even the earlier non boosted 120Y had 4 bolts going through the firewall. The difference is the brake pedal. For safety reasons you should use a manual brake pedal instead of leaving or modifying the auto one. You just drop the steering column and feed the auto one out then bolt in the manual pedal box. There is a blanking plate on your firewall that has 3 bolts in it which will be removed to fit the clutch cable bracket. It is all a fairly simple conversion.
