Yup i'd say they would fit it would depend on what tyres you'd want to run though, The long champs would fit better being a 6 on the front. The watanabe's would probably require the guard tweaked a little bit
I've got 14x7 +10 with a 195/45/14 and they are probably a touch too wide for the front fill the backs good though, just sneaking inside the guard. But I haven't driven on them yet so can't comment on how bad they rub.
A 6 or a 6.5 with a 185 would fit much nicer on the front My pick would be the watanabes, they may be a touch to wide depending on tyre size but man theylook the business

what front end you running? im guessing on stock, 6.5 wide at that offset would stick out the guard and possibly foul on the spring pearch too

really? I'm running stock struts and mine are with in a few mm of clearing my coilver spring which sits alot lower than the standard spring perch, so heaps of room to the actual strut tube. he'd also only hit the spring perch if he was running a massive diameter tyre too (like 185/70/14)
Granted i'm running a resonable amount of neg camber to get my 7's with 195's in the unpumped front guards, thats why I said the 6 would fit best on the front.
I think if he stuck to a 185 wide tyre with a little neg camber he'd be fine.
The Longchamps would be the go though if you were concerned.
If it were me I'd probably still get the Watanabes and just MAKE them fit because they look so much better than the long champs :)

you nailed it when you said "coil over spring". the perch may sit lower but they do not obstrut or protrude into the tower area any where near as much as the standard spring perches. same on mine, coil overs give heaps more room

I'd disagree as although the spring perch sits out more it is alot higher, A standard 12" wheel the spring perch will be above the tyre hence why I said it would only be an issue with bigger than stock diameter tyres, how much bigger i can't really comment on as my 195/45/14's are actually smaller in diameter than stock 155/80/12. I imagine the huys who run the big 17" rims probably run into that problem
Its normally harder to find a wheel for coilover suspension because the spring sits lower and limits your back spacing

Before you buy you wheels here are the size rims and tyres you can legally run on 1200's 185-195/55 R15 205-215/50 R15x 7" 225-215 40/R15x7 195/40R17x7 the tyre hight on a standard 12" rim is 574dia you can go only plus 15mm this is for speedo reading. if you run 13's or 14's just messure the hight it cant be any taller than 589mm The track on a 1200 is 1245 you can go plus 25mm that is from the center of the tyre these are transport messurement
