Heya Fester. I wouldnt use 4 inch pipe as the plenum. Its just too large. If u think about it, theres not many engines with a 4" diameter plenum. And the A15 is only a small engine. 3"
would work fine and flow just aswell.

Yeah we can get u a 5" round 14" long stainless muffer. I not 100% sure whether we have any in 6". The inlet and outlet will have to be the same. Either 2", 2.25" or 2.5". ABout 100
bucks i think for one of those. All fitted. Are u in Sydney??

Yeah 4 inch could be a little big I was probably trying to be dramatic and push the bigger is better theory. But i do now remember reading that a rule of thumb was that the plenum should
have at least the same volume of air as the capacity of the motor. eg 1.2 litres 1.4 litres etc. I couldn't remember the exact reasoning but my cousin said it had somethig to do with high
rpm breating and power. It was in Zoom when they did that twin throttle body on the Excel. I think it has something to do with the plenum always having enough air to consume and must be
linked to on off throttle conditions. For the other guys out there it was still very valid for turbo's. I guess relating to spool up time after closed and part throttle conditions when the
lag has to be overcome and the plenum refilled. Any comments?

For the muffler no I am in Gympie Qld but that's a good price. ARe they enopugh by themselves as the only real space to run one is at the back beside the fuel tank as the car is too low
(even as standard)and the floor is completely flat with no recesses to hang a muffler underneath. For $100 are they the custom made bullet ones you see in teh magazines or a mass produced
item. What sort of outlet do they have.

As for plenum size, I had read 75-110% of engine displacement was the volume to
strive for.
