I have a clutch plate for a 63A gearbox which is surplus to my requirements. It's new unused and in still in the box. I got it from the US where they can be found if you look. (A 74 - 78 B210 5 speed is what you need). It is used with a common/garden variety A series pressure plate. If you're lucky enough to have a 63A box, you need it or will need it. So if i was converting a sss stanza 5 speed (which i think is a 63a) from an L series is this the right plate? or does it still have the smaller a series spline on it?

It has a bigger spline than the 56 and 60 series gearboxes. I expect the spline (1" x 24 spline) is correct for a stanza box, but the diameter of the clutch plate at 180mm is the same as other A series clutch plates and therefore smaller than an L series clutch - that is assuming that a stanza has the same pressure plate as other L series motors, which I believe are 225mm diameter.

Not sure I get what you're talking about, but if you are grafting a (stanza) 63A box onto an A series motor it would be PERFECT. Re-use your pressure plate with this clutch plate.
