Hey there everyone!

Does anyone have any tips on 'easy' ways on how to remove the intake and extractor manifolds off the head?

It seems like you have to have eyes on your fingertips.

Anyone found an easy way on how to get to the nuts that just seem impossible to get a ring spanner onto?? (or is this just part of the wonderful world of a-series engines)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

we are talking about the line of bolts on the bottom of the manifolds, aren't we.i've found the best way to undo them is a 12 mm socket in 1/4 inch drive, with some very long extensions.the extensions are long enough to clear the whole manifold.i got mine at a $2 shop, among the cheap & nasty tools they usually have.mine even work for twin webers & mandrel bent extractors, which make getting to the no 3 nut on the bottom an exercise in contortion.another tip to make it easier is to get nuts with a washer already attached.these come from the inlet side of e15 engines,& i usually take a little walk around a wrecker salvaging these.they don't usually want any money for them either,& if you've gone to a specialist nut supplier & priced them,it's a real saving.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
