SR sits on L series cross member. Battery tray has to go sadly as the throttle body is resting on it where accelerator cable goes in. Motor is propped on drivers side but will sit on mounts quite easily nothing modified on engine mounts. Proves the theory that Sr bolts straight in stanza as i made my mounts the same distance apart on 1200 cross member as stanza when L series went in.

cant you just trim battery tray so you still have one? just use a smaller battery with similar cranking amps?

I reckon i would have to trim to much off to have a decent amount of clearance and engineer wants it as uncluttered as possible. Will see how much more i can pinch, a ute tray would be good as there apparently side on.

Thats what I did with my tray. I cut the tray, slid it under (overlaped it), rewelded it and went with a smaller battery. Worked great.

would rather a boot mounted battery set up with a dry gel type battery. that unclutters the engine bay heaps ;)

S13 120y Struts all painted up and bolted one in this arvo. Got bluebird rear lowered H/D springs in there with some nice pedders gas inserts. Discs have been machined and new pads in calipers. worked out calipers have to go to the front as they fowl on steering arms etc.. got the brackets to suit them unless im doing something arse about. Ran out of light more pics to come removed battery tray and welded holes engine bay near ready to prep and paint.
