it doesnt effect drive or power, you just need to adjust your diff pinion angle to suit. otherwise you'll have chronic universal joint failure among other things

would a maddat 1600 13bt engine fiting kit fit a 1200 ute? or are the chassis very much larger

but at four degress every conversion would have this problem ? unless the gearbox tunnel is small and aims down wards?

looks like a series 2/3 gearbox like im using

the angle seems to be more of a problem with rotaries into 1200's, i havent completed a 4 cyl conversion so i cant really say for sure

i think rotors sit on an angle anyway don't they? on my old datsun the weber intake manifold sat level but the motor would be on a slight angle

yeah most engines sit on an angle pointing down towards the gearbox, as lethal_john said, the carby base sits flat. thats usually a good way to figure out if where you have your engine is good or not

thats how i decided where the final placement of the engine would be on both the L series conversions ive done. obviously need to make sure the car is sitting prety level too
