which offset is better 20 or 40 for 17x6.5 rims to not foul the inner guards or struts on a completely stock 1200 ute

i think 20 would be better.... at a guess im thinking with the 40 the rim would come foul with strut not the guard.

your best bet would be to take it to a wheel shop in person and have them tell you what offset you need.

wow 17x6.5 thats realy gay, but IMO you need +20 or less and if they only come in the fail offset of +20 tire choice is important.. as your starting to get real close to the spring perch, so you will need to find the smallest diameter and width!!

BTW get your wheels first then do your gaurds! theres nothing worse than generic wheels with bad fitment!

14x7 +/-0 FTW

What the last 3 said...

Ive got 14x7 inch Watanabes on mine atm. - Love it.

Have been thinking about 13 x 7 dish superlites alot though...

I had a CA'd 1200 ute with 17's & hated it so much I sold it.

15's max.

14's max on a 1200 seriously, the bigger the gayer, My personal preferance on a 1200 is a 13x7.5 0+ up front and a 13x8.5 +5 on the rear
