pretty easy to do. you need a workshop manual.

you undo the 2 bolts, drain the coolant, clean the old seal off the housing and the head part- dont let any fall in the head.

install the thermostat correct way round and place paper gasket or use gasket sealer.
let the sealant cure slightly, bolt it up then wait 12 to 24 hours for sealnt to fully cure. fill up with coolant and test.

try here

Not too much tension on the bolts, they break easy.

That is correct Sumith,

The thermostat will fit nicely in a small recess machined into the head. It just balances until you put the housing back on.

As unfamilia said it very easy, paying particular attention to the orientation of the thermostat (look at the old one as you take it out)

I have used sealer and gasket and there doesn't seem to be much difference really, except sealant is easier to find and reapply if u do stuff somethin up.

Ivan's advice is very good, remember the bolts are steel and the head is aluminium. In fact sealant is quite good because it is flexible the packae usually reccomends only doing the bolts up finger tight while the sealant cures and then applying maybe 1/2 a turn with a spanner to make it seal watertight

Good Luck mate

Hi Guys

Turning all around to find a thermostat , no where i can find ,any one no any other compatible thermostat from any other car model that will suit for b210,checked with nissan dealer they said they will not bring these items down, some people says b210 doesn't have themostat
(they don't know it because everyone is running without thermostat)

unfortunately i don't have my old part also
did not think that this would be a disaster to find a thermostat

Thanks

All car engines should run a thermostat, and without doubt all Nissans were originally fitted with one.

compatibility is tremendous. Certain Honda, Isuzu, Nissan fit the Datsun A-series engine exactly the same

Also more if you change temperature rating. You can use a wide range of temp from 160F to 195F thermostats.
