God some people on here talk crap.
Standard CA and SR radaitors do fit but be sure you keep the top section of flat on the radiator support panel as it looks neater and its a good gauge. You can see in the pic unfamilia added of supafattos radiator that the flat section has been trimmed off thats all good if your radiator sits flush and lower but CA ones dont fit there they need to be forward to clear the bonnet frame where it comes into a V at front. We trimmed the Tabs off the bottom of the CA standard radiator and it clears nicely as we tacked some small tube to bottom rail for the remaining tab to sit in then just used long thin bolts through the support panel to hold it in place on the sides towards the top. We also trimmed the tabs off the top as they were hitting the bonnet frame. We also found through research/ Hours scrolling measuring etc... on ebay that the ST104 corona radiator would be a very nice fit. Good luck Regards Andrew.

yep, too true andy, only way i got it to fit, same size as the n14 pulsar core and radiator but larger top and bottom tanks was to incline it slightly at the front to clear the bonnet frame and locking mechanisim (its reclined backwards slightly)

i was able to keep the stock rad surround mainly intact.

you really need to trim the tabs but with most aftermarket alloy ones, they are larger than the stock fitting ones unfortunately. they fit into the 180's/r32 and s13's easily but not into the 1200's.

im using stock ca s13 raqdiator now and it fits. its same size as sr stock radiator except top tank outlet on other side. was sitting 35-40mm too tall initially- now fits
see too tall initially

after trimming the tabs and making locating tabs so the bottom hose has 1 maybe 2mm clearance on the rad support panel
see the trimmed tabs

mildman had to "relieve" the radiator support panel slightly to fit his in (lower it to close the bonnet- he used a big hammer ;) )

true you could pay to have the radiator core trimmed to make it fir but not really worth the $$$ unless it was a big $$$ radiatior.

but mik you also dont mention how the bottom radiator hose sits on the chassis rail as the radiator is now to low

i use a camry radiator, its about as wide as you can fit in a 1200 but not as tall as the silvia ones so its an easy fit height wise and still cooled my L series and CA perfectly

and thats with an inch of pipe welded onto the top of the rail bellow the radiator to locate it...so could be a heap lower if you cut it into the rail or had smaller bits of pipe. but fits just fine there

apparelty ive got no pics of it with the CA on here...but works with the CA

God some people on here talk crap.

How was that crap?

Would you think that it was possible to put a Gen3 holden engine into a 260z body and fabricate a 4wd system on top for it?

Or an F20C Honda engine into a toyota sprinter?

Converting a Honda EG6 (Civic) to RWD?

An LS2 into 350z engine bay?

NOTHING is impossible. Its just how deep your pcokets are.

none of those things you listed dont sound that hard, and no where near impossible
2 of them are just simple engine swaps really

but what does that have to do with this thread?

Well I did want the polished alloy look, but will have a geeze around, the one I had did foul on the V as datsandy said, but even with the v trimmed which i dont wish to do, it would probably be too close to the bonnet skin anyway.

I'll just sell the radiator to someone who cam use it i.e. silvia owners and buy another one, quite simple really.

You will need to cut to fit an SR radiator. I had to

the original radiator mount will have to be removed as well.

Haha, this thread is 3 years old, and your engine is sitting very far forward compared to mine :).
