Ive posted several threads on speedway engines 6-8 years back or so but expensive
and too big to engineer. I was looking at the Scat 3.4 litre V4, chev, Fontana, Gaerte L4s.

The motus is a capacity that can be registered with a supercharger on top.

Really cool engine but for us wouldn't it be simpler to just install a Yamaha V-Max engine??

Im sure the Motus bike will cost less than a new speedway specialty engine.

D a V-max is shaft drive of course and Yamahas spin the drive shaft the proper direction so that they work with Datsun rear end..............of course a Motus engine would be cool as well.

The Vmax doesnt sit like a rwd engine though, also its not pushrod.
Its a nice multivalve engine and suits the Vmax bike beautifully Id
go as to say the Vmax bike is much better than the Motus bike.
However Im a pure simple pushrod fan now, theres no turning me back,
this thing you can attach a gearbox to it like a normal engine.

I've done some internet research on cars re-powered by bike engines. The main hurdle is the drive to the diff, however it is easily overcome. A few companies sell flanges that simply bolt on in place of the sprocket to suit a tailshaft. Plenty of electric reverse systems available.

I love the idea of a hayabusa powered 1200.
178hp 132Kw @ 9800rpm
14.1kg-m 138Nm @ 10200rpm
6 speed sequential box

These bikes run tall final drive ratios. eg. 2.7:1 so id like to see some calculations of torque multiplication through say a 4.8:1 diff. Surely the lower gearing would somewhat counterweight the extra weight of the car. Then there is the turbo option. These engine make in-excess of 400rwhp on standard internals.
