i have a set of wheels, theyre 13 in. wheels originally of a corolla i think, very similar in look to showandgo's 1200 wheels in the cars shows folder. i have 175s on the the spare two,
i call them spare cause they wont fit. the tyre scrapes the strut, i know thata this means that the offset is wrong. do u know any way around it??? or should i just launch them off a
very high cliff at extreme velocity.
P.S. i dont wanna fit less than 175s

the way i found around this problem is with wheel spacers. wheel spacers are just disks that go over your wheel studs thus taking the wheel away from the struts , they are easy to
source even autobahn have them and they are only cheap too. even if you dont need them on any car they are good for making your wheels come out further to the sides of the car
making your car slightly more stable around corners . the only thing is you may need to get your arches flared abit more

i had considered that already, but there's another problem. the wheels use up too much space on the wheel studs, so that there is very little thread holding the bolts and thus
the wheels on the vehicle

And they i think they are illegal in most states, and also place more strain on the wheel studs, which have to be longer,
and thus , weaker.
I think if u weld them on though, they are legal, and safer.

You can but 1/4 & 1/2 inch spacer plates from most automotive stores. That would be the cheapest way to
get around the problem.

The spacer plates from autobarn are huge, the smallest is 15 mm I think. I used some old brake drums off a 200B with the edges cut off, they spaced out my fronts enough to get 195 x 14s on.
But my guards are really pumped and I have 3 degrees of camber. You may need to cut and bend the arch inside the guard (if you dont plan on repainting soon, dont do it). To get around the
weel nut problem, go to a wreckers and look through a bucket of old tyre bolts. Find some that are have a long shank that actually goes inside the hole in the wheel. These then will lock
the spacer in place.

G'day
I have just done the same thing with some C20 wheeles and had the same problem.I had some old brake drums and went to an engineers work shop and had them turned down. This gave me a
5mm spacer plate with the right stud pattern. The best part is it cost me $50 bucks and picked up the next day.You can also buy longer wheel studs from your local REPCO store.I am
running 165 wheels and thay just miss the strut.I hope this can help you.
